One of my favorites! Simple yet Effective
Rebsy Reviews (Catonsville, MD) 7/25/2016 3:26 PM
Product Rating: 5 Stars - So good I can't wait to use it again! | Texture and material construction: The Tantus Vamp is a dildo that's fairly simplistic in design, yet very effective in functionality. It comes in two finishes: cream and purple haze. It is 7" in total and 6.5” insertable length. It has a shaft diameter of 1.7" and a max diameter of 1.75". It is made out of Tantus' signature 100% Ultra-Premium Silicone. It is harness compatible and has a little sparkle to the finish. The wide base makes it safe to use anally. | Review Details: I really like how firm the toy is. At first it felt uncomfortable, but after a while I love how it just applied a firm amount of pressure to my sweet spots. I also found this toy to be very filling, but not overwhelmingly. The cream finish is also very pretty to look at. The extreme coronal ridge is great for g-spot stimulation. | I noticed that it was fairly easy for the head to get caught on my pubic bone, which felt uncomfortable at times. However, I was able to maneuver around this, at the cost of decreasing the amount of g-spot stimulation I was getting. I think it's because the silicone material is so firm and the coronal ridge is so extreme that the toy kept getting caught on my pubic bone. Overall, I really like this product.

Umm That Was Unexpected
Siobhan (Pittsburgh, PA) 3/18/2016 10:13 AM
Product Rating: 5 Stars - So good I can't wait to use it again! | Texture and material construction: Tantus Vamp is a thick glossy dildo made of quality silicone. The silicone itself is solid, verging on hard. There is some give to the toy but it is minimal. The Vamp is designed to resemble a penis however the anatomical detail is limited. It has a nice pronounced head and coronal ridge, which worked extremely well for G-spot stimulation. The shaft of the toy has some light texture but nothing I could really feel during use. The base of the Vamp is thick and solid, which makes it ideal for holding on to when you thrust. Like most silicone, it does need a good bit of lube in order to counteract the drag. However, it don’t devour lube like some other toys. Also, it does attract lint but it’s easily cleaned with soap and water. | Review Details: Ok, I hate to say this but the Tantus Vamp was a bandwagon buy. I only bought it because I’d read a bunch of sex toy blogs that all seemed to agree that you need this as a toy box staple. When I looked at a picture of the Vamp I was super skeptical. I’m mean it’s thick but there’s no extreme G-spot curve, which I’ve always needed to hit my G-spot. There isn’t a lot of texture. It’s not super squishy or pliable like VixSkin. It didn’t even have, what I would consider, particularly cool colors. The Vamp didn’t have any of the features that I would usually look for in a sex toy. However, so many people seemed to love it, and it wasn’t super expensive, so I said, “What the heck?” Now, I never thought I’d say this but I am so glad I followed the crowd on this one. Those bloggers where right! This is a toy box must have. I don’t know how it did it but this thing rocked my G-spot. I’ve never gotten G-spot stimulation from a straight toy before. It wasn’t that precise, super-duper intense, stimulation I get with extremely curved toys but that coronal ridge stroked my G-spot enough to make me stop and pay attention. Now, I will say that when I first inserted the Vamp, even after warming up with a clitoral vibrator and smaller dildo, it was a bit uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable because it is thick and really solid. Plus, when I first pulled it out, it caught on my pubic bone a little, which is not something that I’ve ever had happen. The first couple minutes of use definitely seemed to be confirming my doubts about buying this toy. However, as my body warmed up more and I started to thrust a bit faster, the sensation made me ashamed to have ever questioned the Vamp’s awesomeness. As I said, it worked my G-spot incredibly well. Plus, because of the hardness of the silicone I was able to tip the dildo at an angle and get even more pressure. It was great. I reveled in all the ways I could hit my G-spot until I came really close to orgasm. Once I got to that point, I instinctively thrust deep. I pushed the Vamp as far in as I could, held it there, and circled my hips until I came (with the help of my Magic Wand of course). The resulting orgasm was strong and reverberated like crazy. I swear I could still feel the after effects as I washed off my toys. I was so amazed. I never thought the Vamp would feel that good. I liked it so much I’m buying the Tantus Pack 'n Play No. 1 as well. It has the same shape as the Vamp but it’s made with a super squishy silicone. My only complaint with this toy (and it's really not a complaint) is the lack of give. I mean, I love that it’s so solid but sometimes I want something plush to squeeze around. By making both the Vamp and the Pack 'n Play No. 1 a part of my collection, I hopefully will be able to have my cake and eat it too. In all honesty, when one looks at the Tantus Vamp it is easy to underestimate it. It is an unassuming toy but it does its job and it does it well. I am extremely glad I made this investment.

My Current Favorite!
Niko (Anytown, USA) 8/5/2015 4:50 PM
Product Rating: 4 Stars - Extremely effective! | Texture and material construction: Made from glossy Tantus silicone, so it creates very little drag or chafing when lubed up. | Review Details: I’d been anticipating this one for some time. Learning (fortunately after only a few uses) of the potential problems with other materials (some of which I experienced myself), I was looking to replace my only toy with pure silicone. My initial replacement item was very firm, satin finish, heavily textured, and much smaller than my husband, and despite possessing two of my preferences (plenty of texture in the form of wrinkles and veins, and a smooth finish), it still seems to cause me some discomfort at times… even pain. | Then, at long last, I was able to afford this one. The first thing I want to say is, when I removed it from the box, just as expected, its very appearance (the shimmery finish, glossy sheen and gorgeous, pale pinkish white color) was extremely sexy to me. It is a size I’m far more accustomed to (above average, but I wouldn’t call it huge… However, for those with a smaller preference, it may be a bit much), and despite feeling less than up to the task, I was determined to try it that day. | I was hesitant about this toy at first; I have a preference to something with a bit more squish and far more bend to its material, and was concerned I would be unable to try many angles without creating unpleasant sensations. This one bends, but not enough to conform to every position. However, if you prefer pressure, this is good for being able to maneuver to the right spot without it bending too much with you to apply pressure. That said, my initial experience left me very pleasantly surprised, though I used other means of stimulating my clitoris, as this is very lacking in vein–like texture, and has no support for a bullet vibe. | My second experience was with my husband as a warm up toy, and due to its smooth, glossy finish, it did the job well. One thing I noticed (and this surprised me) is that the head CAN catch on my pubic bone, but that’s not entirely a bad thing. With plenty of lube, it is actually mild, and a nice sensation, and with a smaller amount of lube, it’s distracting at worst. Compared to my other, smaller toy, however, this one caused no pain, I believe because the head is more rounded and thus does not create the “poking sensation” that my smaller one can if lubrication is less abundant. | Later came my third experience. Again, I was alone, and this time, I was determined to get there with this toy by itself. I let it soak in a cup of hot water until I was good and ready, and found that, even despite the lack of “hills and valleys” in its shape, I was still able to achieve enough clitoral stimulation in the right position to reach an orgasm that –despite being smaller– was actually MORE satisfying than the first time I used it. | My conclusion? Although I do still wish the silicone was a bit more elastic and the shape had just a few more noticeable ridges for stimulation (my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), this one actually manages to compare to my old toy, which, until now, I couldn’t bring myself to toss despite not using it. The look of this toy is a turn on by itself, the smooth finish is very nice for those who prefer less drag or friction, as I do, and in the right position, the bulbous and VERY firm head can create interesting sensations, whether it hits the g spot or not. However, for those who do not enjoy the thumping or popping sensation of something large and firm grinding their pelvic bone, this is something to keep in mind; it may not be for you. As for me, I’m almost tempted to buy the vibrating grab bag version too! | Also, due to the flared (and very firm and sturdy) base, this toy is both harness friendly and anal safe… Not to mention the hygienic, non–toxic material, which is non porous, meaning it can be disinfected by boiling for 3 minutes, wiping down with rubbing alcohol or a mild bleach solution, or even washed in the top rack of a dishwasher (by itself and without detergent, of course). I highly recommend this one!

Starry Night
Dee (Arcata, CA) 7/27/2015 10:48 AM
Product Rating: 4 Stars - Extremely effective! | Texture and material construction: I got this toy via Tantus' Grab Bag page so mine is an all-black version. The shaft is a matte silicone and the head is glossy and in certain lighting you can see hints of shimmery purple in it as well. Kind of like the night sky. | Review Details: Getting my hands on the Vamp was a lengthy process. To make a long story short I have 3 Vamps (only 1 that is useable) and a free bottle of lube. Tantus' customer service is phenomenal and extremely professional and I'm glad that I got a chance to experience that. I should start out my saying that this was my first ever Dildo. Needless to say I had a serious case of my eyes being bigger than my vagina. The first time I ever tried to insert this toy I gave up because I was, quite honestly, not ready for it. Naturally though, I refused to let a lump of penis shaped silicone conquer my vagina so I never gave up on getting this toy to work for me. Eventually with plenty of warm-up and lube I was able use this toy as Tantus intended, and in doing so I learned a very important fact about myself: I am not a fan of major shifts in texture. This toy has some really subtle veins and whatnot in the shaft which are fine for me but the problem comes in when I reach the coronal ridge of this toy. When it's moving inside of me it is bearable at best and upon removal I experience the sensation that only such a ridge can provide. Some people are really into that sensation, but I am not one of them. With plenty of lube I don't feel that ridge as much when it is moving inside of me, but just knowing I have to eventually take it out makes me not want to use it as often as other, smoother, dildos. All of that being said, I find that the head of this toy is really great for G-spot stimulation and if I insert it and pair it with a clitoral vibe the orgasms are A+ quality. I should also mention that you can really feel the drag of the matte shaft and it's a very nice sensation although you're gonna’ need more lube than you would if the entire toy had the same glossy finish as the head. Overall this is a solid toy, but it may not be the best choice if you're not into deep coronal ridges or if you're new to penetration altogether.

A great intro to girth!
Lilith (Atlanta, GA) 2/23/2015 10:40 AM
Product Rating: 4 Stars - Extremely effective! | Power Rating: Doesn't apply - I'm not reviewing a powered product. | Texture and material construction: Glossy silicone, it doesn't require much lube but it does attract lint. | Review Details: I got the Vamp as my first girthy dildo. It's 1.75 inches in diameter, so you'll definitely want to use some lube and possibly warm up with a smaller toy before trying to use it. The head tapers quite a bit, which helps make penetration a little easier. There's also a pronounced ridge that makes for easy and intense G-Spot stimulation. I can definitely squirt with this if I thrust fast enough. Sometimes after my partner finishes he uses the Vamp on me and it feels spectacular! My favorite way to use the Vamp is to have the base braced on something so I can work it deeper while I rub a good vibrator against my clit. Lying on the couch with the legs draped over the arm works really well for this method. I've also used the Vamp anally. It has the signature chunky Tantus base which makes it safe for anal use as well as harnessable. It required even more lube for anal penetration than it did for vaginal but it was surprisingly easy to insert (probably because of the well-tapered head). However, my butt is a champion so I would definitely not recommend trying it anally if you're a beginner to using dildos in your ass instead of plugs. | Definitely a very well-made and simple dildo. Get this if: you want to try out something girthy or you're interested in G-spot stimulation. A great staple for anyone building a toy collection.
