Fun and Pleasurable!
I'm New Here (Falls Church, VA) 8/22/2016 11:40 AM
Product Rating: 4 Stars - Extremely effective! | Texture and material construction: This dildo is made of firm, rather rigid silicone. It has two ends. One is flat, and the other is rounded and cylindrical, with a ridge on top. | Review Details: After eyeing many different dildos in an effort to try something different than my own fingers to stimulate my g-spot, I bought the Lelo Ella. As soon as I got it in the mail, I couldn't wait to use it. I had never used a dildo before, and was very excited! | It took a little getting used to. (I've never had penetrative sex before.) But when I did... WOW. The flat end is perfect for hitting my g-spot. It feels awesome. The regular dildo end is great, offering a sensation of fullness. My only complaint here is that it wasn't much fun to clench around, as it is so firm. However, the large ridge on the top of the shaft was divine, pushing against the top of my vagina ever so slightly. | An important thing to note is that it can be difficult to hold onto of you switch ends mid-wank, as they become slippery with lube and vaginal juices. And awesomely enough (though I have difficulty orgasming) it has made me squirt (I think?) at least once. | Bottom line: A good dildo for a beginner. Nice, ergonomic, double-ended design. Very pleasurable and easy to use.

Well-made, thoughtfully designed first g-spot toy
sincerestarfish (Anytown, USA) 7/20/2015 1:14 PM
Product Rating: 3 Stars - I enjoyed it. A good value. | Texture and material construction: I'm usually pretty picky when it comes to silicone toys because some of them are really grabby and/or practically eat lube, but this one is a nice smooth texture that is soft/velvety without being sticky, and I didn't have to use much lube at all with it. It is really thoughtfully designed. It has no seams, the only part you really have to pay attention to when cleaning is that it has little tiny indented letters "LELO" on the side (so do scrub it). | Review Details: It is heavier than I expected it to be, and the weight turned out to be really pleasant. It has two ends - the pointy/wider end and the knobby g-spot end. I like warming up slowly with the wider pointy end before switching to the g-spot end (with simultaneous bullet vibe on clit). The angle of the g-spot end is perfect - not too angular, and is a pretty unique shape, and the fact that the entire toy is slightly curved makes a huge difference. (again, a really thoughtfully designed toy!) I haven't gotten to the point where I can orgasm with this toy alone, but practice makes perfect ;) This was the first g-spot toy I got (I've since gotten vibrating g-spot toys, which I personally like better) so I am totally saving up for the Mona next, but this is a really gorgeous toy! Even though it's not the totally perfect toy for me, I still do use it on a semi-regular basis and have no regrets about buying it. It's a really, really great value. It's still probably the prettiest and most elegant toy I own. Mine is the "rose" color (which, thankfully, is more purple than pink in real life).

Simple Elegance
Cora Pearl (SeaTac, WA) 5/26/2015 3:13 PM
Product Rating: 4 Stars - Extremely effective! | Power Rating: Doesn't apply - I'm not reviewing a powered product. | Texture and material construction: The silicone has a good texture - not as slick as the Silk, but still very smooth and pleasant to touch. It's on the firm side, which makes sense for a g-spot toy. Because it's silicone, seamless, and all in one piece, it is for the most part easy to clean. However, the thick tapered end has the manufacturer's name printed in embossed letters that tend to collect lube and vagina gunk if you're using that end for penetration. They're not that deep and wash out well enough in the sink, but it can be problematic if you're using toy cleaner and wiping it down. And something about the silicone attracts dry crud and dust annoyingly easily, although it's not hard to wipe off. The texture and shape make it easy to insert even for non-size queens. | Review Details: I mostly used the big end for normal dildo purposes - I'm more of a clencher than a thruster and I like having the extra length and girth to come down on - but, as promised, I was able to find my g-spot with this thing. Starting cold, the g-spotting end is nothing special - sure it kind of hooks behind your pubic bone and presses up, but what's the point really? But after getting off with a small clit vibe, I started playing around again and then I got something. There's an element of feeling a bit like I needed to pee, combined with something that feels kind of like how pressure on my clit feels, but internal. It was interesting, but not, to me, enough to get me off by itself. But it did, as promised, find my g-spot and stimulate it in ways other toys I've tried could not accomplish. Just have reasonable expectations. This is a dildo, not one of those "switches attached to wires that directly stimulate the pleasure centers of your brain" doodads from science fiction.

Gorgeous product, wonderful quality, maybe better for shallow g-spots.
Denise (Stockton, CA) 4/6/2015 8:54 AM
Product Rating: 3 Stars - I enjoyed it. A good value. | Texture and material construction: This is made entirely of soft Lelo silicone, the silicone is moderately flexible but not floppy. The black one is a great, matte color, with no visible seams. | Review Details: I got this as the first toy to try and find my G-spot. It is great Lelo quality, comes in the usual slick packaging and has a nice satin bag for storage. The silicone has some give to it but is pretty firm for silicone. It's not hard steel or glass, but it definitely isn't floppy. From what I understand, the flat tip end is the same shape as the Lelo Gigi but in a non-vibrating, all silicone form. I don't have the Gigi so I can't speak to that. This is a great quality toy, but it did not quite work for me. I think this is due to my own anatomy and not due to any failing of the toy. When I use it, I can feel a sort of glancing, pleasurable but inconsistent stimulation deep inside, but I never could reach orgasm. Now that I have the Mona 2 and the Pure Wand, I know more about my G-spot and mine seems to be higher up and a bit farther forward than this toy can reach. The flat tip would be great if it reached far enough, but now that I have found my G-spot with other toys I can say that it is too short to reach mine fully with the flat tip. The tapered shaft is nice but based on what I know now, the girth on the end is too thin to "fill" that space enough to hit the right spot on the anterior (front) vaginal wall. So basically my g-spot is not only "high" but also "forward" compared to many others- while I am a "city girl" personally, apparently my g-spot likes being "off the grid"! If your g-spot is lower/shallower than mine you should have better luck with the Ella than I did. But if you are like me and your spot is "high and deep" then you might consider a Mona 2 for your G-spot instead. If you can't spend that much at first, the Ella is a versatile toy that has worked for many women and is a great value if you have never tried an insertable before. It is completely body-safe and has the high quality Lelo is known for. Ella is not too large and you can start with the thin tapered side before moving up to the flat tip if you need to. I enjoyed it, I just didn't quite find my G-spot with it and I didn't orgasm either. I did learn enough to realize this shape might not work for me, and then I got the Mona 2 and BINGO, G-spot ahoy! The Mona 2 has an elongated, moderately girthy "bulb" on the end of its curve that I think made all the difference for me, it was thick enough to hit that forward area and longer than the Ella. I have discovered that I need a certain length, any g-spot curve, and a bulbed end to reach my own G-spot. If you don't know your internal anatomy yet, then this could be the toy for you to begin your G-spot explorations without breaking the bank. Definitely buy this first if you are considering the Gigi 2, you can at least try the shape to make sure it works for your body before spending more on a vibrator. Happy hunting!

SOLID PRODUCT, BUT NOT QUITE RIGHT FOR ME
Super Smash Cache (Detroit, MI) 12/16/2014 3:14 PM
This product is petite and basic, but it's something I would've highly recommended to my younger self. If I hadn't already known where my G-spot was, Ella surely would have found it for me. However, the hooked end wasn't quite right for me. The shape is severe and would generally be awesome, but sometimes painful. It took some time to figure it out, but I could make it work for me by having the flat part of the head on my urethral sponge behind the pubic bone and thrusting the tip on the outer end on the area where the G-spot recedes. With the pointy end, though, I had MUCH better luck. The way the bump on the top protrudes sort of pulls my clitoris in while thrusting in for indirect external stimulation, and bumps into my G-spot while thrusting out, while the edges on either side provided some texture for the front wall of my vagina... which felt good twisting. Even after having tried so many sex toys, I learned a fair bit about my body thanks to this toy. While it might be too basic or boring for those very familiar with sex toys, I'd recommend Ella if you're looking for a first dildo. It's body-safe, reasonably priced, doesn't need much lube; and is well-shaped and -sized for those new to G-spot, penetration, and/or texture. Even despite the pubic bone issues I've had with it, I'd still say it was worth the money, and an essential part of my collection.
