    Love it!

Wonderful piece. Impulse purchased mainly due to the appearance, it's gorgeous in person. This is my first glass toy and I adore it. Something about the drag and squish of silicone leaves me a bit unsatisfied but the hardness of this toy is wonderful. The sensation of the body yielding around the toy instead of the toy yielding to the body is very stimulating. The weight feels great in use, has a lovely density relative the size. Feels very present inside the body. I'm new to any kind of textured/varied surface and absolutely love the gentle slopes on this. Feels very...sensuous when gliding along. The ball end is surprisingly great, didn't think much of it aside from being a comfortable/easy to manage handle until my partner reversed it during vaginal play. Did a lovely job stimulating those deep spots above/around the cervix with pressure simultaneously, it was a novel and extremely pleasurable experience. Haven't gotten a chance to use it anally yet, but the bigger end looks sufficient to safely keep the toy outside the body if someone's holding it. The length and varying widths are perfect for me vaginally, no spot it can't reach. Not so thick I feel stuffed or stretched, but it's not insubstantial by any means (goldilocks zone for sex toys, lol). I find I actually prefer longer slimmer/medium girth instertables overall, this left the perfect amount room for my muscles to clamp down so I could really feel the toy/self stimulate via kegel pressure during use. Has the barest hint of squeaky 'grip' to the surface but it's very smooth overall. Honestly kinda just made it feel more secure in my hand, didn't have any of the drag or pull silicone can during play. Glides extremely smoothly with the tiniest amount of lubrication. Feels pleasantly cool at room temp and warms marvelously when placed against the skin. Also new to temperature play, find it's very arousing to feel your own body heat radiating from the glass during use. I can see this being my go to favorite for a looong time. Can't speak to the exact process for producing the iridescent finish, but I have some experience working with hot glass. The rainbow surface appears permanently fused to the glass itself (special coating that helps produce the desired effect is applied to glass then fired at extremely high temps until it essentially melts in and becomes part of the glass). Nothing will rub away or or flake off, should be body safe and inert like any other traditionally colored glass. The only way the finish could be removed is by using something capable of scratching/damaging glass. Well worth the price, would absolutely buy again.

    Good starter glass toy

Texture and material construction: Being made of glass, the Icicles No. 8 feels smooth and hard to the touch. Unlike with many glass toys, however, the surface is not completely slick. It has a transparent, iridescent coating with a metallic sheen, and some of the iridescent areas have a slightly rough or gritty texture to them. This texture isn't noticeable in use, though if you normally use glass toys without lube, you may want a drop of it with this one. The interior of the glass contains a long spiral of sapphire blue. When viewed with the light-source in front of the toy, the rainbow-like iridescent coating is much more apparent; when the light is behind the toy, the inner blue spiral shows up more. It's very pretty. Glass is nonporous and therefore sterilizable, but there isn't any info on what the coating is made of, so I can't say with certainty that this toy is body-safe. It comes in a nice box, cradled in a Styrofoam insert with a toy-shaped cut-out. Review Details: Each No. 8 is handmade; this causes variations in the exact size and shape from one to another. Mine is proportioned rather differently from the one shown in the product photos, with the tip and first undulation being noticeably narrower and longer. I was a bit disappointed by the slenderness of the smaller end when I received it, but it still feels nice inside me. Mine starts out at a circumference of just 2 7/8", or about 7/8" in diameter; it tapers down to about 2" around, then swells to a 3" circumference; after another slight taper, it swells again to 3 1/2" around. The spherical base is considerably larger than the rest of the toy, measuring 4 3/4" in circumference and about 1 5/8" in diameter (which is too big for ME to insert vaginally). Either end can be used for vaginal insertion, for slippery external stimulation, or for temperature play. The smaller end can even be used for anal insertion, as long as you place a Vibrator Enhancer or similar product around the toy so that it rests against the large end and acts as a safety stop. Its small size makes it ideal for those trying glass for the first time, or even trying anal play for the first time. This toy wasn't quite what I expected as far as shape and surface texture go. However, when used with a bit of an angle, it still glides pleasurably against my G-spot, and, well, it is awfully pretty. I may just have to find an innocuous way to display this as glass art.
