Texture and material construction:
The Deep Secret is made out of some very luxurious silicone. The great thing
about silicone is that it is totally safe for you and your body. It is
non-porous, which means it will not harbor any bacteria. This is perfect for
those who are prone to getting infections.
It is also hypo-allergenic and latex/phthalates free. Water based lubricants
are the only kind of lube suggested for use with silicone toys. This is
because silicone lubes are known to degrade the material. The silicone from
Happy Valley is different than the silicone from other companies. It is firm
yet flexible, and it has a velvety feel to it. It almost feels like it has a
thin layer of peach fuzz on the surface. This creates very little drag, and
it feels heavenly on the sensitive areas.
While it is flexible, there really
is no give when it comes to squishing the material between two fingers. It
pretty much keeps its unyielding shape. The most flexible part of this toy
is the base. While I can bend the base in half, it takes some effort on my
part.
Review Details:
The shaft of the Deep Secret is composed of many bulbs. They do not really
graduate in size, so they stay at a constant diameter. The tip is very
blunt, which can be difficult to insert at first.
If lubed up and warmed up, it should not really be a problem. The bulbs
almost create an anal bead type of feel when inserted anally, and yes it can
be inserted anally thanks to the flared base. The bulbs feel amazing, and
since the material has only a little flex to it, the shaft isn't floppy or
hard to insert. The flared base also means that this toy is harness
compatible. However, it is a little short in length, so keep that in mind.
Another great thing about the Deep Secret is that it comes in so many
colors! Mine is a swirly silver color, and it is gorgeous. Just because it
is marketed as an anal probe does not mean it should be only used in that
manner. The bulbs also feel wonderful when used vaginally as well. However,
I never suggest going from anal to vaginal without properly cleaning it
first. Speaking of cleaning, Deep Secret is easy to clean. It can be washed
with warm water and antibacterial soap, toy cleaner, or by boiling. The top
rack of the dishwasher without soap is also another option. There is a
slight curve to the shaft which may or may not hit the G-spot or P-spot. It
is really going to depend on the body. While I enjoy using this as an anal
probe, especially for double penetration, I do not like using it as a long
term probe or plug. It slides out way too easily because there isn't a neck,
and the base just isn't flexible enough to allow me to wear it comfortably.
Deep Secret comes in a see through plastic bag that is stapled closed at the
top. Stapled to the top as well is a little cardboard banner stating the
name of the company on the front and care instructions on the back. It isn't
discreet or great for future storage, but it keeps it safe during shipping.
While it isn't a lint and hair magnet, it certainly doesn't hesitate to
attract some. For that reason, I suggest a plastic bag like a Ziploc bag for
storing the Deep Secret.
Overall, I enjoy this product, but I usually prefer other toys when play
time is in session. It has been neglected for about a month now, and sooner
or later I think it will be put in my retired pile. |
