Texture and material
construction: The Lucid Heart is glass dildo that is made of clear tempered
glass, which is also known as Pyrex glass. (Yes, its the same stuff that baking
pans are made of!) Tempered glass is awesome stuff, because its not as dense as
regular glass, so it doesnt shatter as easily, and even if it somehow did, it
would break into larger pieces rather than tiny splinters! Ive found my Lucid
Heart dildo to be very resilient, as it has survived being knocked off my bed
onto the carpet several times by my cat, and even been dropped into the sink
once or twice without any damage that I can see or feel!
The Lucid Heart should be stored in a padded bag to minimize the chances of it
getting chipped or broken while in storage. Mine didnt come with any sort of
bag, padded or otherwise, but you can pick one up fairly easily. Make sure you
check the toy before each use for chips and scratches-the last thing you want is
to accidentally cut yourself internally while playing!
Im a big fan of the texture (or lack thereof) of this toy. The glass is smooth
and slightly cold to the touch, but quickly warms up when held against your
skin. Theres no drag or friction, and it slips inside me easily. The glass does
retain temperature, so you can use it for sensation play of the nice or not so
nice variety. Not that I would ever take a glass toy from the freezer and put it
on the back of a restrained submissive. Because that would be mean. *nod*
Review Details:
Im naturally wet, so I didnt need any lube with using the Lucid Heart for
vaginal use, but you can use water, silicone or even and oil based lube with
this toy, as glass doesnt react negatively to any type of lube. The handle of
this is perfect for thrusting, with the curves of the heart being large enough
to fit my fingers or my male partners easily. One thing I have to watch for,
though, is to not thrust too hard with it. I learned that lesson the hard way,
and bruised my cervix during a particularly vigorous masturbation session. Owch.
The rounded head on this toy does rub against my g-spot a little bit during use,
but its not curved enough for me to squirt. Instead, it just makes for
wetter-than-normal (for me) orgasms.
When I tried it for anal play, I only needed to use a small bit of silicone lube
for it to be comfortable. The rounded head was definitely a bit of a pop to
get in and stretching was required beforehand, but once it was in, the toy felt
great. I wouldnt recommend using this for anal unless youre a slightly more
experienced player! The glass feels a lot larger than a silicone toy of the same
size would, probably due to the material not having any give at all. Again, be
careful not to be too rough! Internal bruising will just ruin your week. I think
that this would be a great toy for prostate play as well, unfortunately I didnt
have a willing male partner to test that theory with.
As a heads up, youre probably going to end up with lube and come all over the
handle and your hands, because of the short length of the toy. Luckily, clean up
is easy, as the Lucid Heart dildo can be cleaned with hot water and
antibacterial soap, or you can use bleach to completely sterilize it. Boiling
your toy is also an option, just be sure you dont put it down on a cold surface
once you remove it from the water, or it will explode. *cough* Not that Ive
ever done something like that with a Pyrex pan. *cough*
I really am in love with the Lucid Heart dildo. Its a great toy that looks
sexy, works well, and gets me off nicely. Its my first glass toy, and I know

This was a cute starter to add to my collection. My toy came with a thin bag and a small pillow of lube. I plan on getting another bag to keep it safe.
This toy always feels cool when I use it and tends to warm up very quickly. The heart shaped handle works when things tend to get slippery. I enjoyed this toy a lot and look forward to trying other glass toys. This was very easy to clean compared to other toys I have tried in the past. Overall I think it’s a great addition to my collection and would make a cute Valentine's day gift
