It is a little bit bigger than what I would call a beginner plug as it actually fills an experienced recipient quite nicely. It would likely be very comfortable to wear for an extended time. And that leads me to the bad...The base of this plug is NOT large enough to be safe. How do I know this? We found out the hard way (yep, it went all the way in). All was well for the first five minutes or so then the simple act of lying on the bed caused it to slip completely inside. Fortunately we were able to get it out without too much stress or a trip to the ER but others might not be so lucky. So with that being said, I will give you my final judgment on this toy. I do not totally advise someone against it. There are some cases that you might still want to play with it: First, if you are very experienced with anal play and not afraid to retrieve something should it go in, then this is a fine toy. Second, if you are really inexperienced this might also work for you since the assumption is that you are, ummm, tighter (seriously, there just isn't a better way to say that). Basically, someone who has had a fairly decent amount of anal play experience will be a bit more relaxed thus allowing things of this size to slide all the way in. So if you are new to anal, and you close up tightly around the neck of the toy, you may well not have any problems with this toy. It is really high quality and feels great once in so if you are willing to take the risk, you will likely enjoy this plug. Note: The metal version of this toy appears to have the exact same dimensions so I suspect the size-related portion of this review would apply to it as well.
